@ #161 It's ironic that poor Johann was an avid Republican. It's kind of ironic that some of the smartest brains here will be changing a lot of their views in ten years time.

It's said that any American under the age of 25 who isn't a Democrat lacks a heart. And any American over the age of 35 who isn't a Republican lacks a brain. I don't know as I agree with it, but it IS pithy. :)

It comes from exactly the same conceit Pat here shares... that anyone who "experiences real life" will "change their mind" and suddenly become regressive on everything and reduce the world to tax levels and abandon their views on anything else.

I think he thinks I'm much younger than I actually am. :) Btw Pat... my dad switched from Republican to Democrat in 2008 and hasn't gone back, and he's 63.
