We used to have a self-delete cooling off period. I forget how long it was but the delete didn't take effect until some time later in order to give you time to cool off and change your mind. Perhaps they should consider reinstating that policy.

As I understand it, the self-delete function was put in by the original owners of JUB because there were so many people wanting to remove themselves, and after a while requesting that they be reinstated. I think they just got fed up with people's indecisions and instated the function for all. You're all adults, you ought to make adult decisions for yourselves

Anyhoo, if you want to delete your profile, do note that it won't remove any of your former posts, or remove any of your personal pics in the threads you've placed them in. In fact, once you've self deleted, and you want your pics deleting by mod request, it is virtually impossible to find your posts for them by searching for your username after that.

Tips if you're self deleting - if you want to remove posts where you have personal pictures, you can either remove the picture from the gallery that you've linked it to, or if its off site and hosted elsewhere, but you don't want to remove the picture from your other host, you need to find the thread you posted it in jub, and specifically report the posts that your pics are featured. This also means that if it has been quoted, and or reuploaded and posted by someone else, only a mod can remove them. And that means you may have to be patient for the mods to get around to your request. And do say thanks to them for they're taking time to sort your problem out
