Attention IN MEMORIAM: JUBBERS/SOCK PUPPEETS/TROLLS WHO LEFT in 2013

Temp ban or permaban, tho?

Lex

We need to get on Corny's ass.

- short pause to ponder scenarios before we get back to business -

OK, I'm back

What we need is something more than just the word 'banned' under the name. Perhaps a color-coding for a '3 day time out', '7 day time out', and 'wiped right the fuck out' would do it.

That way people could assess the odds and severity of retaliations for their comments and gloat accordingly.

I miss JohnJay, he always said he listened to Christmas music but never posted any you tube clips of what songs he liked.

In their old forum, Cyanide & Happiness had this system where they would replace a banned user's avatar with:

Banned.jpg

A rather efficient system.

I would think this type of trophy would attract the less desirables rather than detour them.

Anyway, I smelled a rat when I saw that thing about RobGwisdala's mum's knee so I followed my nose and found these:

www.justusboys.com/forum/threads/376789

www.justusboys.com/forum/threads/376878

The laundry thread reads exactly like all that JohnJay guff. As for "I am now part of the Christian left", which comes some way after a thread about being bullied at church as a result of coming out as gay, I think if you wanted to bring up a big subject like that here you'd probably have quite a lot to say about it wouldn't you? But he just says "The Bible has errors" and lets the discussion roll on for three weeks without further input. Oh, and don't overlook the two threads about his mighty vacuum cleaner! (25 Feb and 19 Mar 2013).

I don't think it's a coincidence that RobGwisdala resurfaced while JohnJay and c0nfused were both in the sin bin. But what the hey, it all adds to the gaiety of nations. It reminds me of that bit in Waiting For Godot where one of the tramps says, "Well that passed the time," and the other replies, "It would have passed in any case." Then the first one comes back with, "Yes, but not so entertainingly!"

That Samuel Beckett is ridiculously over-rated; he said just as much as Monty Python.

^
I'm with you on Beckett. Steptoe and Son is easily as good, and Galton and Simpson had to deliver week in, week out.

^ I have only seen bits of Steptoe and it seemed SO bleak. But so did Tony Hancock but he seemed pure Samuel Beckett.

I amazes me to think at what our parents thought of as funny.

And there were SO many queer English. I was gobsmacked by this—

Waffles about to get pressed.

^
I had a sleepless night and managed to read CG's very interesting remarks just before they 'disappeared' the thread (about 3.20 am here). Earlier today I could still look it up and re-read it in my browsing history so I've had a chance to mull it over. Very interesting. Yes.

I see in the dawn of a new day that Chickenguy's thread went the way of Waffles -- no trace left.

But of course. ;)

It's a forbidden subject. No discussion or debate permitted. No mention of it allowed. [-X

The mod-enforced code of silence reigns. :-$

Oh well, at least some of you saw it, and I know a few more agree with me. Maybe I should follow the suggestion of (I think) zoltanspawn, who said that if I feel so strongly about it, that I should be writing the whole thing down and sending it off to the mods in like a PM or something.

I would actually love to know what each and every mod personally thinks about it all. Are they oblivious to it, are they indifferent, are they split down the middle, are they mostly in agreement/disagreement with me? I doubt I'll ever know (unless a mod who reads this cares to enlighten me)
