nothing irritating about her voice. she got a great strong voice.
not much vocal gymnastics which irritates me.

Ick just cause she over sings it does not mean its better. Should have left it alone its a classic soft track to singing in that style just does not fit.

One of my favorite songs--she really does over sing it though-- I enjoy R.E.M.'s much more.

^So have REM. If she had done somthing like what tori amos did and injected somthing new into the song I may have liked but its but a bad acoustic cover over sung.

It's not bad. The original is better.

And I actually don't hear a lot of emotion in her voice....she's just trying to sing the song in the most impressive way she can.

Tori could play the alphabet and I would be moved but thats just me. I'm not saying it is better (I dont think it is) but it is beautiful.

I'm here -- temporarily. After I got back from Washington DC, I had to work 11 days straight & was too wiped to post or even log in.
