^ Yeah, growing up in the late 90's/early 00's I saw SO MANY music videos showing women with barely anything on and being sexually provocative that it almost became 'natural' - but you rarely saw men being shown like that, and certainly not as the theme of the video. So it's something 'refreshing' and 'unusual' to see.

I kinda like this more than the recent Foo Fighter clip, because it doesn't have that annoying "This is funny, because it's gay, and gay people are so funny" undertone to it. It's more like "hey, we're guys. Look at us, cause we're hot."

What Foo Fighter clip? I'm interested because your description of it describes my exact feelings about a clip of theirs from years ago. I don't know anything really about that band, other than I saw a clip once and found it extremely offensive. The lead guy was playing a flamboyant flight attendant. It was gay bashing, and for years whenever I hear that band's name or the lead singer's name, I immediately think of that offensive video.

So now you say there's another one like it. Gay bashing under the pretense of being funny is still not funny.

As for LMFAO's video, I'd have to watch again, but I don't see it as gay. I see the singers poking fun at themselves and how goofy they are.

But the women in those videos are supposed to be sexy, because sex sells.
I find this video very parody-esque, it doesn't really look like they're flaunting their bodies to give it a sexual theme.
Which is almost like a statement that the male body is STILL not generally accepted as something erotic and certainly not for merchandise that is intended for the heterosexual market - unless it's something to snigger about.
So, IMHO, not homoerotic at all.

Thanks for the Foo Fighter link. It doesn't offend me. I took it more as they were making fun of the alleged macho factor of truckers, and pointing out how homoerotic the truck stop showers are. I thought it was a fun if not LOL funny video.

As for LMFAO? I love those guys. They're goofy, they know they're goofy, but they make catchy songs. I don't think the dude with glasses is sexy at all, sorry. Funny. Yes. But not sexy. His sidekick is sexy as hell.
