^ A funny thing is that one of the arguments the justices used in supporting their re-criminalization of homosexuality in India was that there were so few gays in India that there was really nobody there who needed protection from anti-gay discrimination.![]()
I know that in India, like everywhere, very similar percentages of people enjoy same-sex fantasies and desires.
In many segments of Indian society, people don't have the same opportunities to act on those fantasies and desires as we in the west might.
And very, very few people actually move from acting on/fantasizing about same-sex desires to considering it an important part of their identity. So few in fact, that in an unexpected way, the justices are correct.
