Internet controlled cockroach - inhumane?

The premise was 'controlling a living creature this way is deplorable', not just to a cockroach. The fact that fiction and modern tech has reached a state of reality that it can happen means somewhere down the line, it could happen to anything else. What if this basic tech advances until we're all assimilated?

Not fazed. I am convinced that arthropods do not suffer or experience stress. Even if they did, and if there were to be a cause for which this technology were justified, then saving human lives would undoubtedly be it.

Hm.

Nightingales? Robins? Swans? Penguins?
March of the cyber-penguins? Where's Batman when you need him?

Using bugs to help save trapped humans is a far cry from enslaving humanity. You can't ignore the benefits simply because someone may try to turn the technology for evil. Otherwise all technology needs to be thrown out.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Resistance is futile.

LOL

Okay.

Even whales and dolphins can be considered cute and cuddly (to an extent). But snakes and lizards and such are not. They should not be considered animals as they are evil, they have no redeeming qualities...... except maybe turtles.

Got news for you..... I've already defeated the Borg....... Many millenia in the future when they tried to assimilate me I was forced to destroy every last Borg when they refused to take no for an answer.

I think a solution by Ronboy would be more fun: inject a virus into the core that makes them all irresistably horny, so they rip off all their implants and return to, well, just like on the Discovery Channel.

I find it sick but them there is very little empathy any more. It is said that children who hurt defenceless animals turn out to be imbalanced. I find this no difference there are only 30 bread of roaches that are pests. Having lived in New York you can have them if your rich or poor. Ising pest control is not like this this is terrible. If there was a Jesus what do you think he would have said?

They considered epoxying the equipment on children, but they were too difficult to work with, and they ate too much.

I hear they were originally going to use paste, but the children ate that before they could attach the devices.

Well, He didn't chew people out for using horses or dogs or for eating sheep or cows, so I doubt He'd have any negative comments about using bugs to save human lives.
