I've been checking out some internet chat rooms for gay/bi people around my area, and got along pretty friendly with some people on there. Now, this all just happened recently. So after one or two conversations, they suggested we meet up.
Now I'm very cynical about meeting people online especially here in Tokyo where apparently net scamming is a common thing, so naturally I worry I might end up meeting some crazy person. I don't wanna bring a friend along, 'cause if this indeed is someone crazy, I don't wanna put my friends in any type of jeopardy. No offense to anybody who's ever met up with anybody really nice online, I just wanted to play safe. I mean they're nice, but anybody can play nice with just words so I wonder.
So the thing is, uh. Do you think it would be a wise move to meet up with some of them? Or should I just cut all these ties? Some opinions would be appreciated.
