Oh my... Steve, we are no longer friends if this is true

"iPhone delayed until October, Leopard delayed again until January

This one doesn't bode well for Mac fans and the iPhone-hopeful: we have it on authority that as of today, the iPhone launch is being pushed back from June to... October (!), and Leopard is again seeing a delay, this time being pushed back to January. The WWDC beta will still be handed out, but it looks like Apple quality takes time, and we're sure Jobs would remind everyone that it's not always about "throwing money at the problem". Just how much time are these two hotly anticipated products really going to take, though?"

I thought you were kidding! Oh my god, it's real. The iPhone and Leopard better be fucking worth it.

Update: Here's the story. Our source supplied us with an internal Apple email that went out to thousands of employees (published after the break); as it turns out, the internal memo Apple employees received was actually redacted shortly thereafter. (Also published after the break.) We also just heard back from Apple PR -- they let us know that the iPhone and Leopard are both still on track, and should meet their expected launch timeframes. We'll keep you up to the second with any further developments.

False alarm!!
Thank god.

They have updated the story

You may have received what appeared to be a Bullet*News from Apple. This communication is fake and did not come from Apple.

Apple is on track to ship iPhone in late June and Mac OS X Leopard in October.

funny though how did someone manage to send this to all the employees

hey guys, i've got a question... I have a macbook, so I've got MAC OS X Tiger, will i be able to install the new leopard? or will it come with new redesigned computers?

Probably. The specs for the beta are about the same. Nothing like XP to Vista different.

Sorry to disappoint you Microsoft fans but if this were true then it would be on the Apple website.. and it's not. I will believe it when I see Apple announce it.

dont hate apple either just hate people bagging stuff and telling lies which normally involve how crap vista is from people who have probably never used it as an operating system

if someone did the same about OSX i would defend it to but that dosen't happen especially not around here !!!

Fair enough. I see where you're coming from. It really annoys me when someone says something like "Macs suck!!!!" when they have never even used a Mac.

On a side note, that fake rumour caused Apple shares to plummet.
