I got given an iPod. It died.

I got it replaced. It died.

I got it replaced again. It's died.

4 fucking iPods in less than a year!

Why do people buy this piece of shit?!

You're just finding this out? ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Get a Creative Zen Vision: M or Vision: W

iPods and this whole Apple thing is just too overrated. Why buyin an iPod for 250 bucks when u can get a regular mp3 player for 25.

I got my first iPod in May, the first replace in August and now i've got some new problems. I wonder, could it be because Apple gets its stuff produced by underage chinese girls?

I thought this only happened to me. I took my IPOD VIDEO back FOUR TIMES !! And everytime it came back there was always something wrong with it, whether it was the battery playing up, the screen freezing up or the click wheel just kept getting stuck.

](*,) I think that Apple to this deliberatly so you have to upgrade to the newer models rather than keep your existing ones. I ended up throwing in the towel and just buying the new 30 G Video model a few days ago.

I have owned 3 iPods (shuffle, mini and nano), I had to send my mini back to Apple a year ago as it wasn't keeping its charge. Aside from this, I have not had any problems with either the shuffle or the nano.

ive had my mini for 2 years and have had no problems

battery is pretty much as good as when i got it and mine even got slammed into the ground while playing and still works perfectly

When you sell like 22 million iPods between September and December in a given year, some iPods are hav some problems don't u think?

Since all of the iPod's have a HD in them, HD's have similar problems like your laptop and your desktop does. You can reformat your iPod HD, except on the shuttle.

I have the second generation iPod and except for rreplacing the battery, I only had an issue once about 2 years ago with the HD. I put the iPod in disk mode and wiped the drive...have not looked back since......

Had a rio, in fact several, and it was a total piece of dogg doodoo!

I have had my IPod for a little over a year and I have had no problems with mine. I love it!

My 30GB iPod Video flew out of my pocket on a fair ride when I was upside down. It hit the steel below. I heard it and freaked. I got a half inch skuff right below the hold switch. That's it! It still works perfectly, and I love it even more. It didn't even get any other cosmetic damage, even minor scratches, just the one ugly skuff. iPods are hardcore.

My iPod had to be replaced (under warrenty) once and has since died (officially on iPod's fifth birthday). I am upset too and not sure what to get next. Love to use my when I exercise, especially jogging. Have Shuffler I use for that now, but not as good.

I tried doing reset and restores on mine, as I thought the HDD had packed in again, but it won't do a fucking thing. It didn't re-establish the firmware when I plugged it to the mains and now nothing recognises it!

I haven't had any major problems with my iPod, which I've had for about 10 months.

I myself didn't just buy the iPod because it looks cool or because everyone has one. I bought it because of iTunes being the easiest way for me to catalog my music.

I was already using iTunes way before buying an iPod so I figured why not.

Plus, they do look really cool!!!

I've got four iPods

One I use as a portable Hard drive, one I use as a music device, one is for video only and one is an iPod Shuffle I use to work out.

I've never had any problem with any of them, and I have a feeling that most of the bitching about them is done by people who dont' actually have one.

Apple will replace any of their devices if you have three major problems within a year of buying it, and unless you're a total klutz who drops it on the floor regularly, I can't see how it's possible anyone could get four lemons in a row when I have four that have never given me the smallest amount of grief.

there are 4 ipods at my house, 3 nanos and a shuffle at my house, my sister has a white first generation ipod, my mom has a 2nd generation nano, and I have a regurbished 1st gen nano and a refurb shuffle. I got my sister's and my mom's ipod free with the purchase of my macbook (the first one was stolen so I got another) during the apple buy a mac get an ipod promo. Well when I got the second ipod, it came and it wouldn't turn on eventhough it had a full charge, so we sent it back and because this was right after the changed to the new 2nd gen nano's they sent a newer ipod as a replacment. So even though I had one die on me I can't complain cause we got a newer version. Also, because of the problem they just comped my sccount the cost of the ipod so I didn't have to send in for the mail in rebate. The whole experience wasn't terrible at all. My other ipods have never had any problems even the reburbs.

The first died after six months, support told me that the HDD had dislodged. The second one burnt out (god knows why), and this one looks like the firmwares killed it. I may not be the most careful person, but I am with these because of how bloody expensive they are.
