iPod are EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also buy most of my music through iTunes, since the files are smaller and sound better than MP3s.

It's the easiest way to buy music because I dont' like having to truck it to a record store to buy a CD every time I want to hear a song.

And iPods are so much better looking and easier to use than any MP3 player I've ever seen.

I agree, personally i dont see why people have mobile phones and mp3 players! Seeing as you can buy a mobile with mp3 and camera for cheaper!!

I still have a second gen iPod that works great. I got a video one so I can put my tv shows on there and watch them when I'm on the treadmill or on the bike at the gym. I have a new shuffle to take when jogging on the hike and bike trails. I've never had any problem except for getting a new battery after years of use on my first one.... which isn't really a problem as batteries die.

I've had my ipod for 4 years and it has never failed on me. I think the reason you're having so much problems is because you're not treating it right. 4 ipods in a year is excessive, start looking out for it!

Do you mean(your) iPod is evil or iPods are evil? Just wondering.

iPods require iTunes, and therefore don't work with Linux.
They don't require iTunes, just something that acts as iTunes. There are programs for Linux that will connect to it and transfer music to it.

I have one, got a 30gb Photo right before they dropped the prices (grr) and an 80gb Video just after they were put out (gave the other one to my dad) and I've had very few problems with either. The Photo's HD cable came loose so it started acting up and making the sad face and all, and my Video apparently got corrupted and I had to reformat. Luckily it's not too much of a pain to transfer the music back to the iPod, it just takes a little while when you have 30+gb of music and stuff >_>

But yeah, I love my iPod.

I've had a 3rd gen 15 gig (with scroll wheel), a 40 gig 4G (with click wheel that I dropped and broke the screen on the subway platform--AMEX replaced it with...) a 20 gig 4G which I recently gave to my mom to use in her car and is still going strong, a 2gig 2G mini, a 1 gig 1G Shuffle, a 2 gig 1G nano which got stolen, and an 8 gig 2G nano. All of which are still going strong except for the one that I dropped (and I'm presuming the one that got stolen is still fine.) I love apple!

I don't think I'm getting an iPhone though, since my parents pay the bills and don't like Cingular any more--Cingular is probably gonna charge you around $50 extra a month to use it anyway, which is retarded.
