as good as body wash or shower gel ??

The reason is because i used it as a bodywash and it feels great.
And it is much cheaper too ;)

Oh,
i'll just use the normal liquid soap with moisturizer then.

So Disinfectants for house cleaning do more harm than good too?

Didn't JohannBessler, late of this parish, conduct an experiment to find out what happens when you go without soap and shampoo? I think the thread may have been partially demolished when the gremlins got in a couple of months ago.

Are you sure it is much cheaper as isn't it sold in tiny bottles? You need to check the price per litre.

Cheaper supermarket products:

Shower gel costs 5.60€/l
Antibacterial gel costs 28.13€/l

That makes for an expensive shower.

Whether you like it or not, your body needs germs and bacteria. That's how you build up immunities.

It might be cheap but you still need to compare it with the price of shower gel before deciding if it is an economic alternative.

So Disinfectants for house cleaning do more harm than good too?

No. The thing is on surfaces the antibacterial kills the bacteria. That is good. On living tissue (ie human body) where certain bacteria are necessary it is not necessarily good, and the antibacterials can't be choosy about which they target, its all or none. Also on living tissue some bacteria can survive. The ones that do tend to pass on the ability to survive to "offspring bacteria" (those grown from the originals). And thus, super-bacteria is formed, more resilient to antibacterials....

Yes
We need small amounts of bacteria/germs regularly to stimulate our imune systems
I suspect that the prolifigation of anti-bacterial this, that and the other over the last 20 years is the reason we have an explosion of people with allergies
There really is such a things as being too clean, both personally and in your environment

mmm very good answer and no personal attacks for the first time.
I'm happy with that thankyou ;)

So non alcohol mouth wash (oral B) will help to create super-bugs then?

In hospitals or on the kitchen counter after touching chicken for example they are good to use, over use will be the ame as over using antibiotics do not do it!!!

Telstra, I think you must have had a traumatic potty training. You seem to have an unnatural fear of the human body and it's various smells. I'd love to have a little chat with your mother.

Instead of helping me finding out if mouth wash is helping to create superbugs too,
you talk about something unrelated ...
