Not a Palin Thread.

I'm on vacation (luckily didn't make any plans to leave NYC), and I've been sick the whole time. Coughing, congested, stuffed up . . . I'm really tired of it. I keep trying to do little exciting outings, like coffee out or a trip to a museum, but I feel so nasty and imagine other people at those places might not appreciate my scattering my germs.

Any other people have the flu? Any suggestions for what to do to kill the time?
 
That's been me since Thursday. I'm better today, but it was a rough weekend with the coughing, gagging, nose-blowing, and headaches. Pretty picture, huh?

What I did to pass time was curl up in bed and watch Roseanne DVDs with a box of tissues next to my bed. :cool:
 
It's all over the place, especially the midwest. I know lots of people with the flu...Whenever I'm sick I enjoy watching good movies!
 
also sick.....ive had mine since sunday and i had to leave mid lecture today to go blow my nose...that was a little embarassing standing up i front of 100 people with snot dripping out my nose

It's going around the North East also, many friends and people I work with have had it. Lasts for about 5-7 days. My best friend went to the doctor, told him he had a cold and to stay in bed. I could have told him the same thing and only charged him half what the doc did.
 
It started with a sore throat last Friday, then that went away and progressed into the play-hell-with-my-sinuses stage, with a cough. Got a doctor's appointment in the morning to hopefully kill it before it gets worse. Nothing is worse than being sick when the weather is still nice :grrr:.
 
You can include me on this list. I started feeling bad last night. Woke up this morning with my head completely stopped up. I've had such sneezing fits, it makes it hard to drive. I think I've gone thru an entire box of tissues already.
 
Well, it's fresher's week at my university, so most of my friends aren't feeling exactly great. After all, when thousands of people all turn up who're sometimes from different towns, or even different countries, they bring strains of the common cold which they might be resistant to already, but which we're not used to.

Well, that's my theory, anyways. And when all these illnesses converge, there's always one you've not had already. ;)

We call it the Fresher's Flu.
 
Hell---I am just getting over this....I must have given it to everyone else. :twisted:
