They who? People who would just rather practice skills of doing for themselves rather than becoming independent on technology to the point that they can do nothing at all when it fails? That isn't being afraid, its just using common sense. Its people like yourself who are afraid. Afraid that you don't know how to do anything without some computer directing you.

i still use my my samsung galaxy 1, i guess, its the first one in the series. The os often is shit when it comes to apps but i mainly just use phone for text, talking, gmail and the occasional Joanns coupon. It still works for me for what i need it but for some reason since my job switched to new building, i seem to lose connection quite often there. Oh well, i'll take it, i don't get that many calls or texts any aways.... :(

I am soon going to have to have a word with my senior staff because I'm sick to death of them being connected to their kids and spouses all day long....with the faux dramas and petty squabbles and distractions.
 
Probably not going to get it. The rumor mills says they are planning a big overhaul for the next one, which weirdly will be the tenth version of the iPhone. My 6+ will have to do for now.
 
The iPhone 7 doesn't have a headphone jack and they're forcing you to use wireless earbuds, and you know how easily those fall out. I think it's one of their stupidest moves and I hope they see a huge dip in sales, if not completely go out of business after they pull more bullshit stunts like this.
Apple is calling themselves "courageous", and fanboys think everything Apple does is innovative. They will still buy this useless bullshit because they'll buy anything with the Apple name on it. Apple fanboys are smug pretentious cunts, and are even bigger brand whores than Chevy drivers. Average users will probably look for something else though.... but unfortunately, everyone still thinks Apple is the be all and end all of smart phones.

With the lack of a headphone jack, the iPhone 7 isn't even as useful as a log of shit, because at least shit fertilizes plants.
 
~ Every new phone is impressive as released each year. The iphone 8 expected next year, is said to be the biggest thing for Apple as this marks the company's 10 th year anniversary. On a personal note regarding the iphone 7, I won't consider upgrading for the sake of keeping current with the trend of owning the latest model. I currently use the iphone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 of which I am more than content with both phones, it's apps and features. ;-)

Small blip in the radar. Samsung will be the contender for the next generation.
 
The cool thing about tech -- is that even the big players aren't safe. ESPECIALLY the ones who fail to continue innovating -- Blackberry would be a good example -- and before them, Nokia.

As long as us consumers don't get trapped into some sort of dogma -- we can point our dollars at the best that is out there. I am currently very happy with Apple overall -- but would leave them in a heartbeat if something better came along.

Like I said -- the only reason I got the upgrade was because it was basically FREE!

I upgraded last year from an iphone 4 or 5(I can't remember, it was at least 3 years old and the battery was shot) to the Galaxy S6. Only reason I bought it over the Iphone 6s was AT&T had a deal on it vs the Iphone. If the Iphone had been cheaper, I'd have gone with it. Personally I like that the screen on the S6 is a bit bigger, but I found the apple menus a bit easier/more intuitive to use. Really though once I figured out the settings on the Galaxy it wasn't a big deal. I know people like the Android phones because you can customize it and fiddle with the settings, but I'm the type who just usually kind of leaves things the way it comes(I mean I've changed some stuff), the Iphone is better if you're one of those types who doesn't have to fiddle with every setting.

As for the new Iphone 7, I won't buy one because it doesn't have a headphone jack. I have a nice set of older Bose noise cancelling headphones along with a couple of white apple earbuds for the gym that I use all the time. Then I also use the headphone jack to plug into the stereo cassette in my old Lexus(hey its got premium sound with a subwoofer, I'm not changing it since it sounds great). No way am I keeping up with a seperate dongle/cord for something I use on my phone on a daily basis.

I can't believe how stupid Apple was for getting rid of the headphones jack, I assume they did it so they could make the phone thinner. Really I'd much rather have a phone that is a few millimeters thicker that will hold a charge for the 15-16 hours I'm awake during the day.

From what I understand they did away with the headphone jack to make the phone water resistant -

You can still connect a headphone via an adapter for the lightning connector - but I agree with you - I would rather have a designated headphone jack.

Yes, in part. "Courage", don't you know? :D It is not surprising if you consider Apple caused some ripples/grumbles/"well, that's just stupid" historically by eliminating a 3.5" floppy drive, then later eliminating optical drives - but other makers would follow those trends.

I'm pretty sure that they think it is FUN to go and try to be the first in line!

I remember when people would camp out at Best Buy for Good Friday -- I always thought that would be fun myself.

Oh well -- each to their own perspective.

As far as Apple ALWAYS creating a "false" lack of supply -- I'm sure it has to do with marketing somehow --but, that bothers me.

I don't have time to stand in line -- Fedex says they have my phone -- but won't deliver it until Friday??? That ALSO bothers me. :lol:
