Is anyone out of touch with modern pop music and tv?

My favorite modern artists are the Beatles, 1980s Spanish pop group Mecano, 1990s Portuguese fado ensemble Madredeus, and Brazilian jazz legend Tom Jobim. I won't even mention the not-so-modern artists, like Philippe Jaroussky for who I sometimes travel just to see him perform at a legendary venue or so. My favourite composer is Monteverdi, who Jaroussky interprets wonderfully.

Looking at this list I obviously recognized 5 to 6 singers (I am not quite a hermit cut off from the world) but only recognized one song. What is worse is that the song was "All I want for Christmas is you............".

I can't say I'm out of touch since I do listen to the radio a lot whenever i am driving. I can't really say I'm a fan of most of what is playing on the radio, but on a occasions there will be a song or two that I like. i mostly tend to listen to experimental music that no one seems to be familiar with understand.

As for tv, I'm mostly out of it. I lean more towards nerdy and horror shows and that's about it and I don't really watch them on tv rather than just stream them on the net.

Not with Hip/Hop R&B, Jazz, Urban culture no. It's a guilty pleasure of mine.

Reality TV is a guilty pleasure of mine

All this artsy electro stuff. Not so much. Maybe the retro house of the 90s and stuff.

Not really into the emotional rock stuff and art rock stuff.

I haven't been to the movies in a while. Nothing really excities me.

Haven't really been that many TV shows I like either.

I like a lot of old stuff before my time.

I have 9879 pieces of music on ITUNES which includes 170 cd's that have everything ever written by Mozart according to ITUNES it would take 19 1/2 24 hours days to play all in a row lol

I seriously dislike people who have a promotions team that keeps them in the news. When Britney Spears showed up..I checked out. I can't tell you how much I hate that woman..and i have never even heard her songs or if I have I don't know it is her singing.

I think I officially checked out in 1996. i missed out on Mariah Carey too....thankfully....

YES...because they were in the fucking news 24/7...that is why I hate them. I don't
give a fuck who they are or who they fucked or if they showed their twat to a photographer...and if I know that about them..I don't want to know anything else.
