is anyone sorta turned off by straightness of guys on "straight" sites?
Not at first no, but when we start to see the same "straight" guys in multiple videos doing a wide variety of so obviously gay things and we still continue to be fed their 'straight' crock, then I get a little tired of it.
 
Okay, to sum up this whole "gay for pay" phenom:

a) The main appeal is that it's a fantasy that a guy from the other team can switch sides (emphasis on the word fantasy.)

b) All of us to some degree desire the thing that we can't have -- but if it's completely impossible then we're likely to give up out of frustration.

c) Again, porn is a fantasy -- the subjects of male model porn may or may not be straight -- in the end it's irrelevant because porn's appeal is to fantasy, which means trying to know about someone's actual private life can only lead to frustration and circumventing the fantasy.

That said, IMHO these gay for pay fantasies ultimately lead to the erosion of any gay self-esteem we might have built up, since the underlying implicit message is that "straight" men are more desirable and attractive than overtly "gay" men, while the fems of the "Queer Eye" variety are clearly eunuchs.
 
The problem is that a lot of gay men seems to go with the stereotypes and they think straight men are more hot and more masculine.It s totally false.

Do you remember the show playing it straight?In that show half men was straight half men was gay.They were all looking masculine.This show should never get cancel because you see that gay men can be masculine.If that show was still on straight people will finally see that gay men are not the stereotypes that hollywood keeps doing in their movies with gay men with stereotypes.In most movies with gay men the gay men are portrayed with stereotypes.It should be the opposite with most gay men that are masculine.Stereotypes are not representative of gay men.

A lot of straight people believe in these stereotypes.They really believe that gay men are like that.

When straight people see gay masculine men they think they are straight but they are not straight.They are gay.

Straight people got to stop with the stereotypes.

Gay men got to have more self esteem.

Why a lot of gay men are into straight men when it s obvious that most straight men hates gays.

It's interesting that all this gay for pay stuff is so popular -- you need only look at half the "eye candy" entries on our own beloved JUB website to see that it's true.

Of course the stereotyping perpetuated by the mass media is partly to blame. They're familiar, and most people straight or gay, find that comforting, as opposed to some image that's not so stereotypical such as the two cowboys from "Brokeback Mountain". The reason why I found that movie so encouraging (in spite of what you may think of it as a movie) is that it proves that masculine acting men can be widely accepted as being gay.

But I still think the main draw of gay for pay is that it's a forbidden fantasy. I hate to admit it, but if I see if I see a guy who has been labeled "straight", he automatically becomes that much more desirable than if he were labeled "gay," even though it's the exact same image with the exact same mannerisms.

This has to do with self-esteem, I know, but I think it has more to do with something all human beings have in common: we simply want what we can't have.

Exactly! God knows I should keep my head low since this forum is on a huge porn website with who knows what kind of ties it has to the rest of the porn industry, but I can't help wonder why all this "straight guy gets paid for having degrading gay sex" gets paraded around this website almost constantly -- it's everywhere you go on JUB.

So why is it that so many guys are paying to in essence have their self-esteem be degraded?

The power of advertising, of course. And the porno businessmen are very astute in making sure the hottest models get the straight label.

Again (still keeping my head low) there's a truth that all of us here has got to face up to: PORN = EXPLOITATION. I mean, hello!!! And I'm not saying porn is evil or that it should be banned or anything like that, it just happens to be a statement of fact.

But we're still free to choose what to look at. No one is forced to look at images that might be degrading to our identities. BTW, has anyone noticed that, nowadays, at any rate, the gay for pay guys are all at amateur sites, while most of the porn models at the professional porn studios are gay -- or at any rate not putting up billboards proclaiming their straightness. I wonder if there's some connection there.
