Is CE&P Getting Boring?

It's a little over the top to assume I forward a complaint to the Moderator about the term "Jub Birther"...

Happily partnered 28yrs and your repsonse to Jubers in some threads read like you stopped having sex with your partner 27yrs ago...

It seems you needed to reply to me when I havent said Shit to you EVER...

I certainly understand better why a Middle-Aged man calls himself "rareboy"....you are indeed a boy..

Dude, it's a fucking message board. Even more hilarious is it's a PORN message board / site. Who gives a shit about the "origin"? ](*,) LOL!

...And as I said in this thread, the problem is not Americans discussing America. The problem is Americans not discussing anything else. It is embarrassing to watch it. It shows a kind of insular immaturity that will only undermine American interests and slow your country's prospects for growth and influence. There is a whole world out there, and the USA is only about 5% of it.

JUB: Brought to you by beavers, mounties, maple syrup, and the letter EH.

Oh come on. Let’s see, Americans are arrogant and insular, Canadians are sanctimonious and priggish, and Mexicans are lazy and corrupt. There, we’ve covered North America. Shall we do Europe?

There are plenty of the rest of you around in JUB, quite capable of making threads, and posting in them, so where are they, where is the interest of Canadians in discussing Canadian politics, in threads made by Canadians? Why aren’t you sustaining your own threads? Why do you need us to discuss any of that? Why aren't you doing it all on your own?

As far as I know, there aren’t any Americans stopping you.

Why are Americans interested in American politics? I'm at a loss. Would it be nice to discuss something else? Judging by the tone and volume of the American political discussion in here, I’d say that would be a yes. So do something about it.

Condescending lectures from Canadians fall into the same kind of pointless immaturity you seem to dislike. It's embarrassing to watch - and I can get away with that since I'm a crass, arrogant, insular American. But you are a noble and worldly Canadian and should be floating far above such petty sentiments.

Politics in our country has gotten so divisive and bitter, I’m really not surprised that we’re preoccupied with it. It’s extremely difficult to focus on Outer Frankgermistan when you’re worried about fascist assholes riding to power on the backs of the deceived and ignorant. Frankly if I were you, I'd certainly be terrified at the prospect of the Bachmans and Palins getting control of the US nuclear arsenal, no matter where I was from.

Which I might also add, is a global political problem with global fallout. I have no doubt that if the US had to deal with the schizophrenic government of a huge global player, with armies and bases in everyone else’s countries, we’d be paying a lot more attention. Just like you are.

One would think that people would be happy that a lot of us are focusing on that at the moment; we’re all that stands between you and another Bush.

…brought to you by armadillos, tumbleweeds, big ass trucks, and the contraction y'all

Don't worry, we still love you, well most of us anyway.

No, condescention is a way of trying to get digs in on the sly, whereas I am trying to put my criticism pretty bluntly and to your face. Sorry if I'm not "in your face enough." (damn my Canadian manners..)

We agree on three out of four things:
  1. Americans can talk about America
  2. The rest of the world can talk about America
  3. The rest of the world can talk about the rest of the world

But why shouldn't Americans talk about the rest of the world too? And not "where to put our bases" or "what should Obama do about X" or "how to keep the rest of the world from climbing over our Expensive Desert Fence™, but actually take an interest in what's happening out here on its own terms, to take it all in and maybe learn from it.

Trust me.

After laying awake nights for 8 years, I'm glad to be getting some much needed rest up here in Canuckistan.

As I've noted in another thread, nothing is scarier than the entrenched doctrine that wars would make the US rich.

Except for the brief moment when it looked like Palin had a chance of making it to the Oval office, if God forbid, McCain had won and something terrible happened to him.

Geeze..Did someone have a big heaping bowl of Extra Bitchy Crisps this morning? Why are you getting so shitty about this?

Do like I do.Take a deep cleansing breath, and say ''pins and needles, needles and pins,it's a happy man that grins." See, don't you feel better already?

^ oh it is okay.

I just assume he was having an extra bad day.

I would love to have a discussion about someone else for a change. But I don't know near enough about Canadian Politics to start with. So be a Good Samaritan, and give me a heads up.

What's going on in your corner of the globe? Do the world a favor and educate some of us insular Americans.

The Americans in here who post simply to bash away at each other won't come over, but I will.

I bet other people would like a break also, if only to get away from the bash fest.
