Is Elon Musk in Trouble?

Bringing in a bunch of extraneous crap does not alter the fact that there has been a bunch of News about Elon Musk for years and years, and he does not control what is said about him.

Did you bother to do that google search?

I don't see any meticulous control kicking in, and you've said a bunch, so much for that.

The existence of certain news stories doesn't disprove anything, your increasingly aggressive (and unironic) insistence that i "PROVE IT PROVE IT PROVE IT BEYOND ALL REASONABLE DOUBT OR NEVER SPEAK THOSE WORDS EVER AGAIN" is really elementary and.... confusing. If only the slaves who built his empire got as much recognition and respect, we know his name but we don't know theirs. Did they even have names? Or did they just set up a conveyer belt in the maternity word where African babies slide out the kitty kat right down into the mines?

I don't see Istanbul. By your logic Istanbul doesn't exist. If I understand correctly, you're just as repulsed by him as I am, but you're extremely incensed that I dare suggest a powerful billionaire would manipulate his public image? Am I in Wanderland?

Any aggression is in your own mind. It remains that there have been large amounts of news published about Musk for years, across all media sometimes very very negative sometimes not, that he in no way controls.

Do you intend to go look for yourself or not?

There is no logic at all in that, it's simply a dodge.

The fact that I have no love for Elon is a different conversation - he's basically a massively entitled crazy person who exploits his workers, manipulates the market, and waves his pecker at unsuspecting flight attendants. Yeah, that's pretty repulsive.

"Elon controls all media everywhere" is the least intellectually honest translation of my comment. That's exactly his problem, insecure men like him think of nothing but status and image all day long. Good luck convincing me otherwise. I can't imagine how awful it is for his skeletons to be out in the open like this. Then again I've never groped a flight attendant or lied about a company or abused employees so I don't have to look over my shoulder for ghosts and skeletons.

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: BUT he doesn't exploit the media. Noted. Cuz obviously there's a line drawn in the sand of things he won't do.

Will: sexually assault an employee, accept blood money, disrupt the stock exchange for shits and giggles

Won't: lie through the media

Anything else or can we wrap this up and give rareboy his thread back?

A little update on Honest Musk yall, Mr I Never Manipulate Anyone In the Media Ever claims his sexual harassment case is a democrat conspiracy (the default response whenever a republican's hand is caught in the cookie jar). Of course we're only going to hear HIS side since the victim signed is disallowed from discussing the case. Cuz nothing says "open and transparent" quite like paying people to be quiet, to not speak to the media, cuz, ya know, he doesn't care what we think.

So when Elon Musk pretended to buy Twitter and exclaimed “anything that comes out in the next few weeks is a political hit-job” — was all to cover up for having twins with his employee?

from Twitter.

The idea that he has nine children with a slew of baby mammas is incomprehensible to me. I guess the allure of power and wealth is too great.

Damn you beat me to it! Of course there's no conflict of interest in having children with an employee. Everything he does is noble! I'd trust him with the nuclear codes.

So Elon Musk has terminated his Twitter deal. What did Elon gain from this stupid gambit?

Nothing....or at least nothing good.

Tesla stock has plummeted and he has embarrassed himself with the whole world and his fellow moneyzombie billionaire 'peers' watching.

He has likely lost every liberal customer with his pronouncements over the last few months,

And his failure will cost him shareholders a billion dollars.

Another MAGA conman.

He really should stop making any kind of announcements when he is stoned.

Tesla shares have lost nearly a quarter of their value since Musk first announced his intention to acquire Twitter, shedding nearly $275 billion in market cap.

https://www.axios.com/2022/07/09/tesla-torched-elon-musk-twitter

But the other side of the coin is that Musk sold his shares for the Twitter deal (8.5 billion) before they plummeted.

So some of this may have always been about market manipulation. He can lose a billion but probably buy back all the shares at a reduced price and make billions from the deal.

The SEC should bar him from trading. But they won't.

This was always about manipulating the market. I remember there were a few talking heads saying that at the beginning, but we didn't listen, and I believe the SEC is investigating.

Everything that ruzzzian oligarch Elon Musk does makes me want to throat punch him more.

His pandering to Putin...based on some idea that a stoner billionaire should be making foreign policy decisions and deciding the fate of millions of people in Ukraine was bad enough, his refusal to enable Starlink over Crimea is just evil, his new 'perfume' "Burnt Hair' is a troll and then learning that Starlink has told the Pentagon it can't afford to pay for Starlink over Ukraine is headshaking....although the Us had already pointed out that it was paying in part for the service already.

without usurping all your time, did I miss something? Last I read about Musk is he was gonna be the hero that provides web service for Ukraine. Didn't believe it, but that's what I read. Trying to make it all about him sounds much more on-brand. I hope this is the straw the breaks the camels back and people see what a dangerous tool he is thinking his billions means he's qualified to intervene in anything and everything everywhere, including nuclear war.

*everything except feeding the homeless

I suspect he's worried that he's going to have to raise a lot of money very quickly.

Is this man seriously complaing about losing money running Starlink for Ukraine?

And here's my favorite part, which is sure to anger the "Don't ask for handouts" crowd. He wants the US to help pick up the tab.

How did we let literal disney villains take over the world?

So obviously the blowback was so great...including the Pentagon saying they would look at altyernatives to Starlink, that suddenly Mus thinks today it would be a good thing to keep providing to Ukraine for 'free'.

Elon Musk's dabbling in foreign affairs, the Starlink off again-on again nonsense and his plan to purchase Twitter with some foreign partners have resulted in concern in the US State Department as well as contributing to the continued slide in Tesla share value. Bloomberg reports:

Musk seems determined to fuck over Tesla shareholders in his quest to rule the world. He is unstable.
