Is he gay? Or just being wierd?

Haha. I seem to have this problem too, my straight friends always ask me questions like that. The other night two of them were wearing different shoes (one was wearing doc marten boots and the other sandals) and they asked what was sexier on a guy grinding on me and several other questions like that lol.
One guy I came out to told me he was "questioning", I then figured out all he wanted was a bj... too bad for me I guess.

I think that this guy has some sexuality issues he is dealing with. Lube is right about the missed clue. His initial reaction reminds me of my own when totally closeted. I would have retreated too just because I would have been scared in case the subject giot directed at me, especially if it came up out of the blue. The fact the guy weirded out when you came out but now was pretty persistent in asking if you top or bottom and going through a list of 50 guys, strikes me as going from one extreme to the other. He clearly now has processed and is ready to start asking you questions to make sense of his own stuff, which could be anything. If he was distant for 2 months I'm surprised that he asked you so much at once. I too wondered whether he intended tagging his name on the end of the list and maybe bottled it so kept going with other people. Maybe now that he feels comfortable talking so openly with you about it, although in company, I wouldn't be too surprised if the subject comes up again and his name ends up on the list.

I think you guys totally missed this clue.

Actually, I saw that. But I also noted that there was a third person in the room. I just didn't think that he would tip his hand with another guy around.

Also, I keep remembering a recent experience where a straight friend called another straight friend to ask what he was wearing to dinner. They discussed whether to wear to wear a pair of Cole Haan or Kenneth Cole leather loafers.

Straight men are so gay.

That's how I viewed it as well.

I'm still going on the premise that the guy was just being goofy. Not going to automatically assume he's gay or think he has issues because of a bold and silly conversation he had with a gay man.

There are a lot of straight guys in the younger generations that are comfortable being friends/friendly with gay men...wasn't generally the case when I was younger.

Question: Have YOU ever had a girlfriend?

I always wondered why people use this as a sign that someone is straight automatically. I had girlfriends all throughout the most of highschool.

Wow. Your guys feedback is awesome.

The situation is just tricky. I really want to ask him straigh up..."Are you gay?" But its just not that easy. Hes one of my best friends, but if hes really hiding his sexuality, i want him to tell someone.

And no, I never had a girlfriend. And even when HE did have a girlfriend, it was the most unrealistic relationship. He broke up with her because he was just too good of friends with her.

You don't have to ask him is he's gay.

If you want to go down that path with him, if he brings the subject up again when you're not in a group of people, ask him if he's ever messed around with a guy or been curious about it.

Guys will deny the label of "gay" but if you ask an honest question, you often get an honest answer.

I second KaraBulut's comment. Don't say the 'gay' word. That freaks out guys who aren't comfortable with themselves yet.

Don't ask him if he's gay. If he is, and he wants you to know, he would tell you. Until if and when he does, you should just assume he's not. That's just like, common sense.

When I told one of my best friends I was gay, he was cool with it, but immediately turned around and asked me if the pants he was wearing made his ass look good. I laughed and did not answer him.....but his ass did look good! :) He has a nice bubble butt!

Honestly straight guys can be weird about that stuff. At first they seem put off then they ease up a bit. HA! My best friend of 6 years always knew about me. Finally in backed up traffic, we were both fucked up and I gave him, in his words, the best blowjob. Before that he was asking all these questions about gay sex. He has a girlfriend, but he enjoyed the experiment. Sometimes good guy friends will see it as an opportunity experiment with somebody they're comfortable with.

^ Hmmm, sounds mighty suspicious to me.

Have you ever asked one of your female friends to experiment with you?
