Well I am sure you have heard of Public Enemy, Chuck D is a practicing Muslim. To name a few more big guys in hip hop that are known to be devout Muslims; Ghostface Killah, Ice Cube, Immortal Technique, Ali Shaheed Muhammad (from a tribe called quest), Mos Def, MC Ren, Nas (although a 5 Percenter) Q-Tip, Scarface, Raekwon, DJ Khaled.

I mean really why question the whether there are any good Muslim rappers if you are just going to play ignorant when given a list of some of the biggest names in music for the past 30 years. I mean some of the guys there are only big in hip hop sure, but a lot of them are just generally megastars across the world of music.

The Oklahoma City bombing was the work of white skinned, blue eyed all American boys....try Timothy McVeigh who defintely was not a Muslim...should we condemn all Americans of Irish extraction as a result of the actions of a very few, or might we assume this tragedy was an aberration unworthy of white skinned Americans?

Having white skin is not an ideology or world view and Islam is not a race. Islam is a set of beliefs that should be open to criticism just like any other set of beliefs.

Timothy McVeigh's ideology should also be open to criticism for it led him, and his associates to commit an act of terrorism....

Should we assume that McVeigh's skin pigmentation, eye colour and religious culture...Christian...should be a cause for our concern?

Of course not....for McVeigh was motivated by a particular ideology...likewise, those who were responsible for 9/11....

Most Christians do not commit acts of terror....most Muslims do not commit acts of terror.....most atheists do not commit acts of terror.

Simply being a professor is not an ideology or worldview. Can you draw a direct connection to what the Unabomber did and how being a professor influenced him to act the way he did? act that way. I can point to several terrorist attacks where Muslims were motivated to kill people because it was consistent with their interpretation of their religion.

Does this mean all Muslims are dangerous? Absolutely not but it would be dishonest to not acknowledge that Islam has motivated some individuals to kill themselves and others because it was consistent with their religious beliefs. Islamic holy texts do have verses that can and are interpreted to advocate violence and killing so let's not pretend that the religious beliefs of Muslims could never influence them to act in such a way.
