I guess its a matter of whether you want to feel a bit sexy while presenting your assets in a good way.
I imagine that the only issue would be that you are or might be perceived as presenting a false impression of what you have.
For some gay men, this would come off as horrifying and earth shattering... for others, not so much.

I'm the I don't care crowd so long as you look great in it.

As for recommendations, there are plenty of online stores that sell briefs/thongs that enhance the look of your man goodies.

I don't see it as "cheating" either.

But the target consumer is people who are shallow and insecure. That's more difficult to hide with enhanced engineered undies.
