People argue racism is bias about race. It's not.

Racism is bias about race confounded by some significant injustice.

It's very possible to be biased about white people. But because there's generally a lack of significant injustice squared against white people on account of their whiteness, it's mostly not possible to be racist against white people.

In America white culture is celebrated everyday. Through media, politics, and advertising. Over the past 20 years major strides have been taken to include a more array of people and create a diverse landscape.

Regardless, I wanted to make a thread questioning is there somewhere in America that people are suffering because of their race. Specifically, white.


You clearly need to go back and re-read some posts because a lot was discussed and good information was shared.

I'm drawing a distinction between bias and racism.

While it may seem self-evident to you that they are the same thing, I don't agree. The guys in your extremely crappy video are biased, and probably dicks. But I don't think they are practicing racism unless they are somehow enacting a real injustice against the targets of their dislike.

Let's say I lost out on getting a job because of some sort of affirmative-action-type hiring thing. One could argue that I didn't get the job because of my race. Is that racist? I don't think many people would say so, though.

You're entire post is a series of non sequiturs. The nebulous "White culture", what is it? European/Euro-American Culture? The cuisine, the music, the folklore, the sociocultural values? Why is it horrible that country that has huge European roots, "celebrate" "white culture" everyday?This a non-issue in itself. wtf is the difference? racism is racism. yes, we all agree that racism is on an institutional level where white supremacist ideology is the norm where in society, white is seen as right and everything else that ain't white is seen as wrong. that is totally fucked up. not disagree at all BUT at the same time, that doesn't give folks the right to be ignorant. you fight ignorance with education and knowledge. you don't go fight ignorance with becoming ignorant. this shit should motivate folks to educate themselves and act right. it's annoying as hell to see people on this hopeless shit. you got some black people outthere ready to blame white people and the government for the way things are then turn around and fuck themselves over because they don't care. they don't think things are going to better so they just give up. they don't even bother to educate themselves, read a book or two on their history or what's going on either. it becomes a fucking cycle where us black people in america are relying on somebody to save us instead of fucking saving ourselves. dudes is living in the past. you got some people even saying "remember back when we were slaves". you never were a slave, breh. society may not be on our side but we can change the system by starting with ourselves.
