Okay so I'm like 18, gay male and bottom. I usually find myself dating top guys way older than me. The minimum being 55+. I usually get approached by older gay men a lot.

There's something about mature man that turns me on, like their maturity, independence, ability to take care of me, and they just seem sexy overall!

I think the reason for this is maybe that I never really had a father figure in my life as me and my father are very distant and we have a bitter relationship, I also hate him as well!

I told my gay friend about this and he says its weird and I should be going for guys my age and he said, ''Its like dating your dad, its gross!'' he also added that these older men I date are usually creeps with pedophelic tendencies!. (Which I do not agree on as I am not a child physically, however, I am smooth, skinny and a twink, so that's what my friends is talking about when he meant, 'pedophelic tendencies').
 
I think at 18 you're just finding yourself and questioning everything. That's a good thing to take inventory and decide what is right and best for you. You seem like an intelligent and thoughtful young man and you should go with your instincts. I'll bet as you get older you will find a lot of things change in your preferences and outlook.

My advice from an older man...be careful and be safe.

If you look through the Craigslist ads you will find a number of people looking for similar. Its obviously somewhat uncommon but so is something about everyone. Much more common as guys get into their 20s and less common to narrow it down to guys over 55. Probably older that the typical dad for a guy your age. I agree that you don't want to become dependent on someone always taking care of you but most 18 year olds are still being taken care of by someone.

What I mean is, at 18 you do not have much experience and you could easily be taken advantage of by people who do not have your best interest at heart and you could be deeply hurt.

I'm 59 and have been with many young guys, black and white, who love older guys. Go with what you enjoy and have fun!

Younger men will only hurt you and may even break your heart.
 
It's not weird. I like a wide spectrum of man... but I do have daddy issues as well, kinda like you, but I don't hate my dad. I just was never close with him like I wanted to be. 55+ at your age is pretty old, as that's how old my dad is now... and I'm almost 30. So at your age, I was maybe into older men 35+. I think we all like the thought of having someone take care of you. Relationships like this though go back to ancient times... even for straight people. So it's understandable. As long as you are not harmed physically, mentally, then go for it.
 
It's absolutely not weird! When I was 21, I was with my very first older man. He was 56 and he fucked me into the next week. Treated me like I never knew I could be treated. And by that, I mean he treated me like a little fuckdoll and kicked me out of his hotel room, discarded me like yesterday's trash. I fucking loved it. And he had the biggest dick I've ever seen. I don't think there's anything wrong with liking older men... I'm in my early 20's and the last guy I dated was 35 and an absolute fuck machine... But there was also a maturity to him that I found comforting and very satisfying.
 
. I'm an older guy so I don't think it's weird at all. I met a late 20s gorgeous guy on JUB and we hit it off right away. But I blew it with him unfortunately because I was not being open enough with him about myself while he was very, VERY open.
