You're talking about a character in a book written by multiple people from centuries ago....You think the gay stereotype we now associate with gays were around then as for the authors of the bible to construct around?[-X

I imagine that if Jesus Christ was God incarnate, and the point of the Incarnation was to experience humanity first-hand (as many believe), He would probably have been bisexual as far as orientation goes. He would want to be liable to all temptations, and overcome them, rather than making Himself immune to any temptations.

Oh, and Jesus would not have worn purple in life. Purple was incredibly expensive, as there was only one source of purple dye in the ancient world: little shellfish that only grew in the shallows around the island of Tyre. Pretty much only the Emperor was allowed to wear purple anywhere in the Roman Empire. Of course, being King of Heaven and Prince of Peace, he would be portrayed by later artists in royal purple.

I know you meant this for a joke or jape, but there are too many pedants on this board to let you get away without being all serious about it. ;)

there is very little historic evidence for the life of Jesus

we know there were many religious zealots and preachers in and around Jerusalem, in Roman Syria

it's assumed both John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth were among these

one prob is that there was a jewish rebellion, which led to a Roman crackdown

and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD -

the early Christian period was very chaotic
