  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

IS JUB over?

I am new here, and I saw this post, and decided to join the forum. I have been lurking off and on for some time reading threads I found in the search engine of Google like gay baseball players and male country singers. I think I could understand why what the original poster is saying. When I read the threads, I get lost and say who are these people that are being brought up all the time under the male celebrity section. These unknown actors and celebrities seemed to bury the well known ones. It is kinda hard to look for something that you are interested in when so many pictures of unknown celebs show up. I do find some of the celebs as attractive, but I found some that turns me off. Even though we all have different tastes, but over doing on requests for fakes and all that of a celeb that some other people would be turned off could drive people away. It is kind of hard even to find what I like right now. It depends on what people like and what they do not like, and some people feel they are left out of topics when one type of celeb gets all the attention. I would love to talk about country singers, pop singers, actors that I know, baseball players, football, auto racers, rodeo cowboys and so forth. When topics I described gets ignored and all that by people posting more and more about subjects that a lot of people do not know tends to kinda hurt the forum some with people feeling left out.

To relate all that to an old thread/post: maybe it has to do with the so-called gay scene, which is nothing but the standard that all societies or minorities and subgroups set, more or less conscious- and purposedly, for themselves.
If the general, unofficially official gay trend ("scene") is all for David Archuleta or Channing Tatum, despite their silly names, rodeo cowboys will necessarily be left out.

Oh, this was a serious topic.

Hmm, okay then. Abandon the ship or upgrade it.

Okay back to seriousness, yes JUB is over. It's like a car- you bought it new, you like how it rides, you owned it for years, then it gets problems with the muffler, and ooo man there goes the engine. And OO Shit!! WHat??!! $1200 dollars to repair. Might as well buy a new car.

But JUB isn't over, it's just getting finely aged.
O if they start charging for this forum, then it's definitely over

I laugh at that description because it simply isn't true.

We've got people "remembering the times when so and so was here, when we had this feature, when it was friendlier, when these mods were in power".

Whatever. Lex said it best - you changed. But I'll say it a different way - you became thick-headed, stagnant... you know, the stereotype that they give old people in the movies, "back in MY day, JUB used to have topics you could respect! Now look at all the riff raff", complete with shaking your cane at the computer screen.

Do something about it, is what i'm saying. Pointing out that change is scary is like pointing out that the sun is hot on your naked ass. Put on a dress, cover up and dive into the daylight.

We should elect the moderators instead of it being a dictatorship it should be a democracy

I don't give two shits about who mods this place as long as they do their jobs as humans as opposed to robots, and for the most part, they do.

That's probably not the issue anyway.

The mods should be middle aged housewives so then there is fairness in everything. No smarter person than a woman

There are some things that I noticed which could drive people away. Too many flame wars going on where people attacking each other and in some cases over misunderstandings. One thing I have learned since being online since the late 1990's about forums, groups and social networks is that to stop, think over what you want to say, and try to be clear and precise after you cool down from being angry at over someone who said something that got you mad in the first place.

I'd try to sing kumbaya, but I sent my guitar out to the cleaners.

all that sounds great and all but at the end of the day, theres always that bitch you hate at the other end of the bar.

We ARE gay after all. what is life without drama? whats next?

Boobs? :help:

Everyone should just talk over each other and the last person to survive the fighting match wins.
The problem is some people take more things seriously more than others and get offended easily than others. some people need some sensitivity training and some need to stop being soft.
