The past couple of weeks whenever I try and use Limewire my searches don't bring up any results. This only started recently and I'm wondering has Limewire been shutdown, or am I doing something wrong? I even deleted and reinstalled the program, yet nothing! I loved Limewire for its simplicity.

Yea.. I wondered that too..it says it's connected, there are no firewall issues..it just will not bring up anything, and anything I do find- will not download. Oh well.

Odd. Just opened it and d/l-ed a song and it played fine.
For radio tracks and recent CDs I've never had a problem.
I know there are tons of other sites out there but when I find one that doesn't fuck up my comp and gets me what I want I stay with it.

Limewire still works fine for me. I stick with it because i've never had problems. Sometimes I get a bad song, but then I just find another one and within minutes at most i've got a good copy of the song.

Limewire works just fine for me, downloaded a couple of Elvis songs a couple of days ago. There have been a couple of times when I wasn't able to find any songs, I guess they were doing "maintenance" on the site, but 98% of the time it works.

I always use Limewire and it works fine. I have a Mac (os x and a DSL line), and I wonder if that makes a difference. Anyone got ideas about it? My only complaint with Limewire is that hundreds of crappy spam ads and downloads pop up. You have to learn how to avoid them and download the real stuff.

My limewire still works, i dont use it very offten, only small files, like for a song. but i use torrent when i want big files, like albums and movies

In terms of Limewire...

Check your version and see what the latest release is.

I only get 0 results when my version is out of date.

Now I'm confused. I just put in 4.12.6 and it says it's pro. I d/l 6 mp3s just 2 or 3 days ago, but not from a new search. I haven't used the pro yet. I just tried and it says I don't have a internet connection or a firewall blocking. Of course I have a int connn as I'm writing this but the firewall says it is an exception. I thot the pro was not on it and put it on but it says it is already an exception. I cannot connect to limewire. Looks like i'm gonna go torrents.(!)

You should go to your systems firewall and open ports 6817 and 6346 for UDP traffic and name it Gnutella/Limewire.
Works fine on my Mac (like everything else)

I had a hell of a time trying to get a webcam to work on a Mac when it was suppose to be compatible with it. God!
That Mac you had was pre-USB ports I think, Brandon.

Watch Brandon whine. Just mention a Mac.
