Do we really need to know the exact cause of death? I do not think so. His family have chosen not to release information and that is how it should be.

We can respect his family and let them grieve in peace.

For those who were a fan of his we can respect his memory.

That is not necessarily true and as I have said we don't need to know.
 
I was a LONG time subscriber to Broke Staright Boys from day one. And to answer some comments it was great back in the day but the new owner has F___ed it up and I left. Yes Mike Robbins did pass away. And there have been NO details about what happened and that sucks in a way, but all I care about is his family. And to comment about one post above, Mike was NOT 44. In was in his 20's.

I had been wondering why he didn't move to the new Broke Straight Boys so I"d been searching around and found this thread.

While I understand the desire for privacy from the family, the lack of information regarding the death could lead one to believe that he, the person who portrayed "Mike Robbins", isn't dead. He could have not wanted to do porn anymore and rather than just stop, he over-dramatically "killed" the character "Mike Robbins". He could have had a "falling out" with the former "proprietor" and he "killed" "Mike Robbins" out of spite.

There are a good number of people who likely know whether he's dead or not, namely the other performers he fucked at Broke Straight Boys The silence does give more credence to the possibility that he is, sadly, dead. :(

His former "proprietor" and all the older boys quitted Broke Straight Boys and moved on, So the silence might occur from their absence from the site, I suspect.

While it is perfectly reasonable to want privacy and respect for his family, the level of secrecy around this death is strange and it makes people more curious about it, not less.

People die. Porn performers are people therefore porn performers die. I'm sure his death is no more out of the "ordinary" (as much as the death of a young person can be considered ordinary) as the deaths of other porn performers listed at rame.

Look, we are owed nothing as far as an explanation is concerned but when a person in his 20's dies, questions are always asked, regardless of his profession. That's the way it is and it's not disrespectful for those questions to be asked.

Thank you. I really need to hear from you.

I did ask not just because of curiousity. When a very young person dies we are shocked and fall in tremendous lament, especially that person was full of joie de vivre like him.

We were generally consuming porn just for fun, but his death hit me like a lightening and made me aware that the performers before the camera are not just modells but people.

Then I began to to ask myself why this young man should die or what I misread under the brilliant surface of volatile but innocent youth.　Are we coldblooded shit who can enjoy the porn of dead lad?

But your caring words relieved me a bit. Maybe we are not so heartless, filmmakers and custumers.

Everyone on here, I am related to "Mike" and yes he DID pass away in January of 2011. I will not say what happened or details or anything, but I will tell you he did pass away. It was very unfortunate for our family. Thanks for the condolences it really does mean alot to us.

There would be some fans who seek his whereabouts.
We need place to mourn his death.

I'm glad this thread wasn't deleted. It came up in Google search. I have been watching some of his videos of late but he's been renamed as "Mike Jones" now. There are some comments on his model bio page on Broke Straight Boys which caused me to seek out confirmation.

So it seems it's true as voyeurism26 (which must be David) confirms it above. RIP.
 
His family might have wanted thier privacy but they should realize that being so private is going to cause people to speculate on the cause of death. All they had to say was he died of natural causes, or something similar.

That said I think it is rude for people to say things like "drugs again" because the person is dead and cannot defend himself against something like that which is slanderous being there is no proof.

His videos are still up and fans searching for more info on him should be able to learn of his passing, so this thread should stay up.
