I'm disappointed. From the looks of the title, I thought we had a real scoop on our hands, and really hot! (!)
 
You know, years ago I learned a term I didn't know existed but was, apparently, very common, and it was via Mary Matalin during the Bob Dole campaign. She had been Bush Senior's campaign manager during his disastrous 1992 re-election bid and a reporter was asking her if the Dole campaign was going to use her in away way. She looked a little horror stricken at the question and said something to the effect that no, of course they weren't going to use her because her recent notoriety had made her "politically radioactive." She said, very matter of factly, that no campaign in their right mind should want to associate themselves with a radioactive as the damage would outweigh the cynical sop to the base.

What struck me at the time is how well she understood the game and took it in her stride. There was no disappointment or rancor in her voice when she said that she knew she had to sit out for awhile and perhaps come into a position down the road (which she did.)

I bring it up because Sarah Palin is about as "politically radioactive" as you can get, yet her (so far) exclusion from the convention is causing the horrors at freerepublic to tear their hair literally out of their heads. I can't imagine Sarah being as gracious, as understanding, or as SELF AWARE as Mary was if she IS, indeed, shut out. If she has no place at the convention, it will be because the Romney team has assessed the situation and judged that any excitement bump from the base (who, despite all their moaning are certainly not going to vote for Obama) by having her their would be wiped out by the undecideds or independents who would (rightly) be turned off by the same thing.

I agree (that's twice in one night, you better fuck me quick!) and that was the only time I've ever felt sorry for Sarah Palin.

I give her credit for NOT supporting Mitt...Mitt has flip-flopped on so many issues even a far Right Wing Nut like Palin shouldnt trust Mittens...

It's clear that Christie is this years "Sarah Palin"...But Mitt is making a terrible mistake by not giving Sarah an invitation and allowing her to headline one of the nights...Sarah was given a speech @ the 2008 convention and she took it and knocked it out of the ballpark. She ripped Candidate Obama to shreds and she did it with a Beautiful Face and Smile...Sarah delivered the goods and they need her FIRE to excite the crowd @ the Convention.....

Oh no she's not...She lacks Common-Sense but she's not stupid...There is a difference...She became Mayor when the odds were against her, she became Governor and proved that a Female Politician with a strong message has what it takes to beat out a Man....After the 2008 election she wrote her own ticket and began getting paid 6-figures for Private bookings, and she hit the Jackpot on TV when she signed a $7-million dollar deal for a one-time-reality show....Then she became a Tea-Party King maker helping them usher in a reign of terror in 2010...

We can make fun of Sarah all day long but she ALWAYS has the last laugh while she's walking to the Bank...You have to acknowledge the fact that she's taken care of herself and her family by cashing in on her Celebrity...

Funny how things change in the GOP. Four years ago she was the darling of tea baggers of the far right of the GOP.

^^^^You're the only Gay independent that thinks differently....Recently Drudge came down on Ann saying pretty much the same thing I stated.....If the Romeny campaign continues to let her speak for Mitt the base will begin to think Pretty boy is a Big'ol Pussy...Ann isnt running for Office her husband is...

She's clearly not doing him any favors on the media circuit...
