I lived your fantasy for a couple of years in a relationship with a married guy. It was hot for all the reasons you said at first, but ultimatly ran it's couse with me. After awhile being "the other woman" got old.

Now I have a full-time partner of 3 years, he's a divorced guy and am a lot happier.

I think he is just trying to talk about the reality of it, while you are talking about the fantasy of it. It might seem hot to you from a fantasy standpoint, but if you were actually doing it the lying and secretiveness of it would probably just get in the way of you having sex with the dude...

But that is all fantasies, they are never as rosy as they seem. No, your fantasy is not odd, so enjoy it as a fantasy; I am not sure I would recommend actively pursuing it though. Fat Tom would know better than I though, I fear for the impact it would have on the third parties emotional state (Why I could never do it).
