Is the phrase "you look younger than 18" an insult?

No it isn't. Maybe since I get used to being told that, I hardly get ticked off when someone says it. It's my height and my voice. All good in the hood. I get flattered by it.

I like it when bouncers and bartenders get moted when they see my I'D and know my real age.

I'm 24 but people always tell me that I sound young (sometimes they say younger than 18). I don't take it as an insult. I don't think I look younger than 18 though, my physique is that of a fit guy in his 20s but my voice doesn't really match my body (I'm not self conscious about it though and don't try to change my voice). People who usually listen to my voice say I sound cute/geeky. I take it as a compliment.

It depends. I dont mind if someone takes me as a 18 years old in a phisical way but i would be mad if someone tell me i look younger than 18 years old when it comes to personality.

I got it a fair chunk up until my mid-29s. I had a policeman pull me over because he thought i was too young to drive. Did I think it was a compliment? No. I wasn't 17. I was 23. odd,y, now people think I look older than I actually am, but I don't have any problem with that.

I love how I looked 20 when I was 16 (most of the time I could get in the clubs) and then it evened out at about 22-23 and I started looking my age.
