I am sure that to the Ukranians....this is not a 'phoney' (sic) war.
But yeah....the Sitzkrieg we are in right now is just the relative calm before the storm as long as Putin is in the Kremlin.
But as things become more desperate, so will the circle of old KGB agents who may see nihilism as the final solution.
The moment that they use a 'small' tactical atomic bomb that spreads radiation into Europe, a world war will be triggered.
