Literally since HS, I have been seasonal. Which is crazy, because I am in FL and there are no seasons.

Anyway, summer (9 mos of the year) is usually rum or tequilla.

Fall/Winter/Spring is usually whiskey, maybe Vodka or Gin Tonics

I like old school cocktails though and will try them at any time. Dark and Stormy for example...

Apologies, but where I come from, when you ask for rum & coke, you generally get Havana Club, Cavalier or Morgan's Spiced. Generally, Bacardi & coke wouldn't even be considered when somebody asked for a rum & coke.

Most of the guys I see out are drinking beer, usually that dreadful light beer on tap. I prefer Shiner.

Well, actually I prefer a classic gin martini or scotch neat. You should see the look of confusion when I say the word 'neat.' "No ice!" I end up yelling. Or for that matter the incredulity at making a martini with no olive juice in it, or even making one with gin at all.

When I read this thread, I immediately thought of a cosmo. I thought of it because that was the "drink" of sex and the city.

Really, Appletini isn't an option‽ This poll is closed for inadequate choices. Appletini is THE gay drink with cosmo being runner up. You ever see a guy order an Appletini, just assume they're gay. That isn't open for discussion. You didn't even list White Zinfandel as the wine choice (the "gay" wine also) but you at least gave the wine option so it isn't as bad. The lack of a premium malt beverage or "wine cooler" is also disheartening. Someone needs to brush up on their gay skills or they may lose their "gay card".

I'm afraid I drink almost anything, but with the possible exception of particularly camp cocktails, I don't really see drinks as gay or straight.

I can only drink beer. But I feel like I'm the only one who walks around with a bottle of Corona in clubs when everyone else has mixed drinks with gazillion different names that intimidate me. I wouldn't even know what to order.
