Is there any effective way to get rid of ear wax

Oh yes, to more precise, I fill the syringe with water that is neither hot nor cold to the hand. The flushing is just easier to do in shower because I don't have to worry about water/wax spillage :). Kinda TMI.. but sometimes the wax plugs are the same size as peas :x
