Is there any user friendly automated memo reminder software that I can (get free or pay for) download and use on my computer?

Long story short, I am using a web based automatic memo reminder service that is no longer being monitored and seems that it has been on autopilot since 2014 I think. About once a year, there is a glitch in their software and the automatic memo reminders are not sent out and are stuck in a sending cue. So I usually will miss about 6 to 8 days worth of memos, before their system will start working again. I have been dealing with this problem for about 5 years, however I love the fact how easily their memo reminder service works, simply by me making a note to send me a reminder email on any day and time I wish. This service is great for remember birthdays, anniversaries, any important date(s), or a reminder to do something important one time or daily or weekly or monthly or yearly . . . plus it has an option to set up memos to remind me to do something import 5 years from now (if I select that option).

Are there any recommendations for any super easy to use/user friendly app/software that I can install on my “hard drive”, so all of my personal reminder memos/data is on my hard drive and I am not at the mercy of an “online” service/program (where I am totally out of luck when their system goes haywire and stops sending me my reminder memos)?

I have looked around for a few months, but all I can find are “online” memo service options and nothing I can just upload to my hard drive, where the software is mine and less chance of things going haywire. I thought about getting and using Outlook, however I never liked Outlook (when I used to work in an office several years ago), as it was not as user friendly as I would prefer.

Any recommendations? Thank you in advance for your help. ..|

Thank you, Reischfleger. I will experiment with this option to see what happens. Thank you so very much for your help. I greatly appreciate it so very much. Thanks a million, trillion! ;) (y)
Your OP just popped up in my feed. The old software had some sort of glitch in that some forum sections it refused to send my new or replied-to messages. Over the last few years I kept track of about a dozen threads that the software would never send me a notice. With this new software, apparently all those "database" glitches must have been rebuilt and I am now getting those missing notifications. (Was this a known issue? @Kulindahr )

Anyway, back on topic, update this post if you are still looking for something. I also have been a victim of website services that just go dark with no warning. All my info was lost.

Thank you PrinceCory,

All is well. The Wise Reminder recommendation by Reischfleger, seems to be a good choice and is working well.

Thank you again for your help. (y)
