^ Worst kind of bitches: "good 'normal' people who go with the flow".

No, I called "bitch" those who let you get stuck with little house on the prairie or whatever you live in right now: you seem just a plain average sucker

I live with my brother and sister. My brother is Power of Attorney for a distant cousin who we just recently had to place into a nursing home. He had a little dog and another woman offered to take the dog but my brother didn't like her so we inherited the dog. The dog is spoiled, thinks it is the boss, and is demanding too much of our time. It pees on the carpet at times and if it doesn't want to do something it growls and snaps at us, or cries if we leave it to go someplace. It is beginning to get used to us, but it still needs constant watching and we end up sitting and wasting time holding it on our lap. It was abused my an earlier caretaker and we are concerned for it. For a couple of years we were tied to the house taking care of my elderly father and couldn't leave without checking with each other to make sure that someone (or later, two of us) were covering. I didn't mind because it was my father and I didn't mind confining myself to home because of him, but since he passed we have had about a year of freedom to come and go as we please. Now we can no longer come and go as we please again and it was because my brother made the decision to not give it to the other woman and we are being confined by his decision. Last summer the three of us went on a two week trip together, but won't be able to do that again for many years.

At the moment I can't conceive of any time or place that would leave me feeling less trapped.
