Is There Such Thing As Bi Pride?

I've actually thought about this! I thought I was alone in thinking that there has been an overlooked part of our society, the bisexual. I've never thought of "bi-pride" or flags/symbols depicting as such, but the topic is fabulous to discuss. Let's keep at it! :-)

I wanna go a step further in this discussion. In my opinion there isn't really a Bi Pride (similar to Gay Pride). Do you want there to be one? Yes - how would like to see it? No - why not?

(!) Should there be such thing as Bi Pride? (!)

No.

Regardless of what people may say, I don't regard my sexuality as the be-all and end-all of my life; nor as the overriding factor which most defines who I am. "I am bisexual" is a mere three words out of the thousands I would use to describe myself.

What next - straight pride?

Kinsey was so very helpful when he published his findings. It was good to know that all of us are attracted to others persons both male and female and the dominant attraction may just be a matter of the coincidence of factors. It is indeed possible and quite common for persons who pass as "strraight" and who are very happy doing so because they are in a committed relationship that over-rides the sexual attraction they continue to have for other persons.

For me, I wouldn't call it "pride"; I'll just say that I am blissfully happy with the relationship I have and would say that I find no need to advertise or flaunt the marvelous fantasies I continue to harbor in my mind. We're all always in the process of finding and defining ourselves to ourselves and others; that's why spending time at this site is so useful. We all tend to come down seeing ourselves as just a bit different from anybody we know or even a whole lot different. And, isn't that something to be enjoyed?

Mere quantity and variety of sexual activity don't rate well when I consider what I have had being a committed partner in a wonderful relationship. I'm glad to be me, but I also see that you're just as glad to be you.

Peace!

Straights don't need so called straight prides cuz they don't need to fight for visability and social acceptance (Gays here don't think gay pride has a deeper meaning than solely party, but i still think it is.)

I can imagine some bisexuals our in favour for prides, cuz straights and even gays don't seem to understand us. But i'm not into prides.

There Is A Such Thing As Bi Pride, And If You Search Anyway Where For Bi Pride Images You Get The Flag Which Is Magenta, Purle, And Blue, The Colors Represent The Nature Of Bisexuals.

If you love a guy, isn't that enough?

Some want to marry to seal their relationships. I'm not into marriage either, but i want that the possibility of same sex marriage excists.

When I enter a serious relationship, fidelity and honesty are two things I demand...I have no use for people I can't trust...

Those two seem pretty basic demands

I guess what I mean is why crave something which was made by a group who doesn't like you?

Crave what? What group doesn't like who? I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.

I thought i'm the only one not knowing what No_Ac meant. At least i know a new word. Crave: a strong desire.

Do i understand it right that you're saying that marriage is created by straight people and should therefor be for straight people, cuz they (all? #-o ) don't like gays or bisexuals???

No, created by religion.

There's marriage for the church and marriage for the law (dunno the exact words in english). To my knowledge same sex chruch marriage isn't possible and same sex law marriage is possible in some countries, such my own country the Netherlands.

I am unaware wether this is any system in which, by law gay couples could have the same support and legal rights in terms of wills, insurance and etc.

In the Netherlands all people are equal, which means that same sex marriage by law is possible. Same sex marriage is also equal to diff sex marriage, which means that gay couples can adopt kids as well, which is a good thing to my opinion.

My question would be if this non church civil ceremony gave a gay couple the same rights a religious marriage.
Religious marriage don't give legal rights. Rights are given by law not by religion (in a democracy).

I'm confused by gay couples who want relgious marriages.

Hearing people telling them that they are sinners for who they are is not nice. But i can understand why they want to get married. They believe in God and they believe that He is for all people.
