Long time lurker not a big post never really found anything I couldn't comment on.

Recently this straight guy has been grabbing my head like the top of it my hair and just moving it around a bit and before this he touched my arm on occasion.

Could this just be friendly touches.
 
I wouldn't read too much into it. It sounds to me that he's just friendly.

Get to know him. Make a friend.
 
I agree with Looseliam...Is he playing with your hair & touching you on the arm when you're "One on One" or is he doing it when others are around?
 
sounds like a touchy buddy...oh my that sounds so wrong.

Basically the type of guy who expresses emotions and stuff by hand movements or hugging etc etc, nothing to read into, just a guy whose comfortable enough to do that sort of stuff and not think any more about it...more straight guys should be like that
 
One of my straight married friends is very affectionate towards me. He hugs me everytime he sees me, gives me neck massages and is very kind to me. But I've tested the waters so to speak and realize that he's simply a straight guy who is very touchy feely. He doesn't want me in a sexual way. I'm cool with that now but when I was uncertain, I was having all kinds of fantasies about him.
 
I made the mistake of thinking one of my friends was gay because he was always stroking poles and stuff like he was j/o in front of me, sometime when we were alone.

I should have just come out to him saying he was a good friend and wanted him to know. Instead by asking if he was too ruined our friendship.

on the flip-side of the original question - I've "tested" guys I know are very very straight - by touching them 'accidentally" pat on the head, even a tug on the bearded chin -- joking aroound - tweaking a nipple (thru his shirt) - it's amazing how little they think of this - they are very very comfortable with it - the 2-3 I would even try to play with that way -- and I also know they are very "gay friendly" as it were. So it's nice to have open minded friends who you can play aorund with - but don't think it's gonna go any further than that.
