This is dangerous for another reason. You could get stomped or shot, especially in the US, where you can now take a concealed gun into bars in Arizona and Tennessee. As an ex-trucker in the US, my impression is that amongst truckers in that country there are a lot more homophobes than homos. And a lot of meth users, too.
 
I don't know - maybe it is just where I live and drive (NJ/NY metro area) - but there is no way I would be able to JO while driving the car at highway speeds. Too many cars too many distractions too much traffic too many lane changes. I guess if you are out on an Interstate in the middle of nowhere with no traffic and can set the cruise control you could - but I just don't see how you could do it around here. I cannot even remember the last time I was able to use cruise control around here because of the traffic.

I think the use of parkings along motorways as cruising places is absolutely necessary. I think making it easy to cruise on those parkings is an absolute necessity and the very best measure authorities can take to assure safe traffic. Fortunately you can cruise on most parkings. Sometimes a parking gets closed down. It would be interesting to see some statistics about the relation between closing down a parking and accidents in the area.
