Your symptoms sound typical for a hemmorhoid. At this stage, the worst that can happen is the pain and discomfort. More could pop out eventually. But get it checked by your doc.

(even a real doctor could not diagnose cancer over the internet. Go to a doctor and let him have a look at it. There is nothing to be embarrassed about... doctors know what assholes look like. they've seen them not only in practice but in textbooks, too. I bet a doctor would be very happy to see an asshole so he could say "I KNOW WHAT THAT IS!!")

(go to a doctor.)

That "light brown discharge" is PROBABLY blood.
Hemorrhoids USUALLY cause occasional sharp, shooting, pain.
Whatever the hell you have doesn't sound like a typical hemorrhoid but it COULD be a thrombosed hemorrhoid just beyond the anus.
Regardless.......NEVER fuck around with blood coming out from ANYWHERE!.......

It's possible that you have a pilonidal cyst- just based upon the discharge and the location. They tend to flare up during warm periods of the year.

You need to make an appointment with your doctor and have this checked immediately.

seahawk, definitely go by what Jasun said and visit the Doctor.
S/he'll prescribe the right stuff you need - more effective than all the OTC things you'd ever get.
Also bump up the veggies in your diet, leafy stuff is what you are really going to need - and in dollops not just small helpings.
I went through all of this myself and the good news is that its curable.
Best

i have had the same issue and still i was shy to go to the doctor.

there was one thing, that helped me in a matter of 3 days - thats zinc oxide creme they use for babies - in Europe its Sudocreme. it decreases the swelling and soon you will have no problem whatsoever :)
