I don't think that anyone is "in fear" but it's true that the mods here are strict about enforcing the CoC, as they should be. The OP doesn't violate the CoC with his question.

diffrent age-limits .
Though here in the UK after 6000 gays and lesbians stormed the House of Commons they very quickly brought it in line with heterosexual consent which here is 16yrs.
 
I think you both need to be at least 18, but it varies by state.

I agree that while a 16 year old ought to be able to experiment with a peer, sex with an adult, even an adult close in age is a whole different matter. BTW, when do you turn 20?

Some of those are off as well. Here in MI we have a graduated age of consent, it is 16 years BUT ONLY WITH someone within 2 years of age. So a 16 year old can sleep with up to an 18 year old, a 17 year old can sleep with 16 +. However a 19 year old can not sleep with a 16 year old legally. There is more nuance than just an age requirement in many places.
 
i canada, the age of consent is 16. once you hit 16, you can fuck a 70 year old if you want, it's perfectly legal.

however, for 15 year olds and under, there are slider rules. this is so that a 17 year old who dates a 15 year old, can't be charged with statutory rape. the slider in canada is a 5 year slider. so a 14 year old can hook up with a 19 year old, and it's perfectly legal.


i can guarantee you there's slider laws included in whatever laws govern your state, or country, or whatever.

in short: you're probably fine. and people that try and convince you otherwise, likely dunno wtf they're talking about.

Find out, the nineteen year old is at risk if you find out later it's not legal.

In my country the age of consent is 15 whatever the sexual orientation.

However, if an adult (over 18) wants to have sex with 15+, he must be sure that this 15+ person gives a total consent to sex... If not, there is a problem...
