No it's not common at all. Usually most guys don't have much hair on their shaft. Almost never anywhere near the glans.

It might be an STD and he's telling you it's hairs.

I agree.

"Tiny, tiny little zits" sounds like herpes.

I don't think it's common. Some guys do have hairs on the underside of their shafts. I don't know about ingrown, maybe if they shave it, it will grow back ingrown.

Yes, it's normal -- I know exactly what you're talking about, I have the same thing -- I'm pretty furry, don't know if your guy is.

If he trims or shaves that area it will grow back with ingrown hairs. It's NOT herpes. Herpes lesions are very obvious -- they're like open sores/blisters for the most part and are almost always quite painful.

Also, it has nothing to do with his hygiene, I'm a really clean guy, it's just more common for some guys than others. I wouldn't worry about it.

IF of course he complains that they're painful, or the are open and bleed or ooze that's a totally different story, but I think you know the difference...

Hope this helps...

Corny 6 what you have described is pretty common especialy if the person
trims himself.
Guys that scream no it must be an std have you never had an ingrown hair
on your penile shaft?
Plus corny you come off as being wise enough to know the difference buddy
nothing to panic about. ..|

doesn't sound normal...why take a chance? Get thee to a doctor...

I think corny6 is our Mod Corny who is afraid of asking a question about herpes and chose a cunning disguise to fool us all to get his answer. Corny6... we would have never known.

Corny, don't worry. It's not herpes. They're just skin bumps that exist throughout the body.

I believe you don't have to go to such lengths to ask questions like this. Remember how we caught and revealed you after you created that thread on how you are addicted to scratching your taint.

ram, i know that you are obsessed with me, but apparently you are not obsessed enough to notice that in the past i have pointed several other posters to the threads about fordyce's spots and PPP when similar questions have been asked.

however i am thoroughly shocked by the amount of maladvice in this thread and will quickly move this to the health forum.

corny6: google a bit for images of fordyce's spots on the penis .. for example this:
http://www.fordycespots.com/storage/photo-of-fordyce-spots.jpg

and compare them to what you see on your bf's dick. you said "ingrown hairs" .. usually ingrown hairs look a bit different and are inflamed. however if he has hair on his shaft and shaves it, it's possible that he gets razorburn or that the fordyce's spots get irritated and look a bit red.

In the "All About Penis" sticky in this forum, there's a section discussing Fordyce's. It's a normal variation.
