Mormons should be the last people on earth allowed to define marriage.

What gets me about polygamy is that LDS stopped it after other religions went after them and got the government involved...

*Lets that sink in*

doesn't surprise me much.

hypocrisy and religion tend to go hand in hand.

I just love how it's SO easy for most of you to turn on the Mormons. How "brave"..

But you seem to give a COMPLETE pass to the Catholics, blacks, and latinos who supported Prop 8 in huge numbers.

Even so I like the sign..... :-)

Don't particularly like those Mormons, either, but still---many, many others were against us.....

Well, actually, older white voters voted for Prop 8 just as much as blacks. But the point is that the Mormon Church is actually an organization that ordered its members how to vote on this issue.

Since when is there a black headquarters? Should we be protesting there?

How so? It points out the hypocrisy of the Mormon church.

Yes, that is true, but is that enough to change opinions of people who voted for 8. I think that most non-mormons that voted for it don't care what mormon's beleive or don't believe in regards to why they voted for it.

As a business person, it is always important to have a plan B. If the courts do not protect us, for whatever reason, we will have to go back to the voters.

Besides that, we should not close the discussion with the voters either way. The ignorance and harm to others, others being people in the gay community, will never be minimized if we do that. The gay community is not an island. We must live within the rest of society as a minority group.

I don't see how that sign would keep anyone who voted for Prop 8, who could possibly change their mind, from changing their mind. Here's an organization who has a history of polygamy, while at the same time keeping gays from getting married. I'm not understanding how pointing that out would alienate anybody.
