  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Is this real ??

I don't know why but I found it funny.

Seems pretty real. The video doesn't seem to be edited.

The hawk screech sound effect made me chuckle.

I wonder if perhaps the eagle let go because it was startled by the yelling? Although I'd think it's more likely that it had something to do with a poor grip on the jacket.

Interesting video, and also a little terrifying.

Definitely real.

See, I looked closely at it to see if it was just really good CGI, but it doesn't seem to be. There is another video with the same title with "fake" after it of someone trying to explain why it's fake. A lot of commenters with experience (maybe) on eagle behavior seem to think it's real as well.

I say real.

Media from Montréal are pointing out that it seems strange to only see this amazing summertime footage months after the end of summer.

And also that Montréal has a lot of the world's best video graphics artists.

Damn, fooled me. That penguin one looked fake for sure. Still very good CGI, though.

It was just reported on the local news that it is fake. Pretty good fake though.

Watched your link. Still can't see it was fake.

If it's amateur CGI, it's pretty darn good.

Personally I'm leaning toward the trained bird/doll explanation :-) A real kid may be just too heavy, but a doll would be light enough for the eagle/falcon to lift.
