How is that relevant to your OP? You described a sort of gang bang, not in the days of yore, but current event.

Calling it "light hearted" only means you don't take safety seriously.

You don't realize that the constant remembrance on JUB of all the dead from AIDS actually MEANS it IS a serious issue. You're creating a motive that isn't there. We can't make someone else smart, caring, responsible, or conscientous. We'll never change the cavalier attitude by some about AIDS and the foolish forces that keep it alive today when we have the power to suppress it.

But, every time an opponent of safety and wisdom posts a promotion of it to others, those who care about the larger gay and straight population should counter the pitch with a strong dose of reality and facts. Pretending promiscous unprotected group sex is ok simply because 8% of gay men take Prep is effectively telling self and others a lie.

There is another aspect to this phenomenon.

As with alcohol and drug addiction sex addiction often leads to death. Addiction is a serious disease and I am sad for the person whether I know them or not every time I hear about an overdose and someone practicing unsafe sex who has to pay for it with their life.

I know that it is an unpleasant and uncomfortable subject for some people but if even one person reads this and thinks twice about it I think it is worth it.

Well, you just described what I would probably do at a bath house.

I've never been to one, but a FWB guy tried to talk me into traveling to one (nearest is about 4 hours away by car) with him. Acutally, it would be him traveling with me because he was always broke and not able to handle the money he earned...which means I would be paying for everything. The whole situation didn't sound like fun to me. But anyway, in the past he had described the bath houses he went to in Denver Colorado and it didn't sound sexy to me. I have not seen groups or gangbangs happen there except the bald guy that I mentioned. But I have seen 3 - 5 guys all interacting with each other but I guess thats a group lol.

I guess I wasn't very clear when i mentioned I'd much prefer a 1 on 1 or 3-some. What I should have added was a roomful of mostly naked guys to interact with (not necessaryly sex acts) would be out of my comfort zone.
