Not saying I would do it without my wife's approval, or properly vetting someone.

I just didn't know if that was something that was done at all. e.g. if it would be considered insulting or nice to just let someone get their rocks off, without any expectation of reciprocation, or strings attached. I just didn't want to offend people, is all. If it was a girl offering it to me (and I had my wife's permission), it'd be awesome. However, I didn't know what the emotional impact is when it comes to male/male interaction.

There's nothing wrong in asking a question and it's appreciated that you were thoughtful enough to ask. But yes, it is insulting. People in general don't like to be used as an accessory. "Good sex" is one thing and "getting off" is another.

Sure, it's not impossible to find someone who would happily plow you while expecting nothing in return, but again, I can't imagine it being worthwhile in any way.

There are going to be problems with "personal honesty" no matter where you go...craigslist is no exception. Wanting to experiment and "learn" is great, and as it has been said, you would have no problem finding a "top" to accommodate your needs...but also as said, you have to look out for the health and safety of more than yourself...if your wife gives you permission to "play", it doesn't mean she gives her permission to "catch" something....play safe.
