Well, if it's weird, I used to do it, and I don't care what others think.

Sorry, I don't mean to be arrogant. I'm not an arrogant person. The thing is... people are different, and everyone does weird things. Everyone! Some things are sooooo weird that people have difficulty coping with them, and I don't think that keeping sms on your phone is one of these. It might be different, but I wouldn't really call it weird. ;)

And as far as you thinking he might be weirded out... rushing into conclusions, in a lot of cases, is the main reason relationships are destroyed. He might not be weirded out at all. Of course there's a chance that he is, but we don't know that. Hang on to the positive side and see what happens. :)
 
Yeah and that's just stupid. I keep certain text messages all the time. I don't see what the problem is. Some people just delete their text messages straight away because their inbox gets full after like 20-50 messages so they think all phones are like that and find it weird if other people still have old messages. My phone has over 700 text messages on it. There are many I need to delete but 100s I want to keep... I don't think it's weird. They're meaningful messages even if some are one words.
 
No I absolutely don't think that's weird at all. I keep messages on my phone all the time. Sometimes they are messages that I just want to go back and read cause they brought a smile to my face or made me feel good! I would bet most people do save messages.....kinda like emails.

If he doesn't like that it's his problem and his loss.

Agreed. You've made your feelings quite clear, if he's weirded out thinking your obsessing over him, the best thing you can do is back off and give him some space. You'd be surprised how effective being hard to get is. It's hard to do though for sure.
