First there was pornotube, and it was fantastic. Then it started to suck balls (and not in a good way). Then there was xtube, and it was great. And now the quality of the site isn't nearly as good as before and is heading towards the state of pornotube. I don't know why, but it seems that a site like pornotube or xtube can't hold its own for more than 5-7 months. Now theres *******.com, and its the best thing ever. Let's not hope it turns into pornotube #3.
 
go search xTube for Fratmen videos.

OH .. and Fratpad videos.

We've got a lot of stuff up on there.

The problems with pornotube and xtube are both the same. One, both sites run slow like hell; along with crappy interfaces and layouts. And Two, there are too many spam clips and trailers in both; with xtube it's worse because there's a "user" with 5000+ clips that are all no more than 1:00.

There should be rules for gay porn (and str8 porn) upload sites that won't allow clips that are less than a 1:00. A rule like that ensures that all clips will be long enough to jack off to.
 
I agree that some of my colleagues upload way too many shitty clips. 30 seconds long... all the same... crappy content.

I've uploaded full scenes from our movies because I think we have movies that are worth it..

Exactly. I love that *******.com doesn't let you upload clips less than 60 seconds; they were thinking ahead and viewing past mistakes. Another thing I've noticed about xtube is that they mess up the ending of the videos (or at least mines) and make them all slow and choppy, and practically unviewable.

The only, and I mean only thing that *******.com lacks is that you can't embed your videos (or can you?).
 
Xtube requires.. like most thigns.. for you to know what the fuck you're doing.

You have to encode the video properly or it will play back choppy and the sound will be off.

If you look at some of my older videos on there, you'll see what I'm talking about.

but watch the newer ones... 10 minutes long and they look great. because I learned how to properly encode the videos through trial and error.
 
We at Euroboy like xtube. If the video is good quality when u upload it, it's fine.
And look at all the blogs featuring good vids taken from xtube! Therre are a lot our there!

I agree they were good at beginning but now going down hill.

I have been trying another free one thats preety good has server prob every now and then but its good. Dont know if allowed to put name here but here goes.

I not saying there is'nt any good clips at xtube, there's certainly a good number of them, but you have to find them under all the spam clips.

I have to agree! I just don't see the point in uploading such short clips. At least upload a decent sized trailer. There often isn't enough in a 30second clip to pursuade anyone to buy the DVD. And even with some of the longer clips, they top and tail it with 15 seconds of title image!!!

Oh! and 10 or 15 second cumshot clips! What are they all about? Why bother!!:grrr:

Yeah the spam clips in xtube.. not really spam, just "promo" stuff really. A lot of them from xtube themselves to push their on demand site.
We do it, for example, but we try to make them a bit longer!

Short cumshot clips are not good, I agree: no build up, nothing!

Any porn company that has content worth watching is going to have plenty of material to post on xTube that isn't 30-second clips.

If that's all you see from a studio, keep searching.. it's like those movie trailers that show all the best parts of the movie.

The clips I post on xTube are pretty varried. from a 2-minute clip of a few models horsing around naked by the pool that didn't get into any movie at all to the 40-minute documentary about the Fratmen movie shoot in Australia (and it wasn't a "making of" DVD bonus feature, it was about what it's like to be a Fratman and what the Fratmen are really like off camera).

I think you really can judge the quality of a studio by the video they let you see for free. If it's just their main features in bite-sized clips... they probably bite.
 
I like x tube a lot better than porno tube. The videos load a lot better there.
