What? Many houses here have garages attached to the side with the door in the front. It's a direct line to drive in and you don't need an extra wide lot to go around the house.

Getting back on topic, I have not noticed very many with face tattoos, but there could be other neighborhoods where it is more prevalent.

I have heard that before you and I were born people would sit on their front balcony and talk with passers-by in the street.

Yup, before I lived near this ranch house travesty, I lived in an old neighborhood in which very few people had garages at all. I drank beers and smoked cigarettes (back then) on the porch with my friends and chatted with those passers-by. It was convivial. In the middle of the night, people would rattle the trash cans. If someone had an odd tattoo, it was odd but okay because it was part of being part of things.

Some people were upset by all the goings on and worked hard to move to, you know, better neighborhoods. This trend happens yet today, and my friends the Indians are masters of it. They seem to love the gates that keep public spaces distant. They must have had enough.

I am studying the systems of friendships and intermarriage. A hundred years ago people would marry into the families who lived in their neighbourhood.

Nowdays we pick and choose partners from Tindr who live in other cities while ignoring our neighbours
