I deliberately choose a female doctor just to avoid certain embarrassing situations. I just feel more comfortable with female doctors - I feel I can be more open and honest with them, for some reason. But I think she's pretty straight though. I'm not at all sure though, but I don't get the dyke vibe from her. Which reminds me, that I actually haven't visited my new doctor since I moved, so I don't know about her yet..
I actually don't have a dentist, tbh. But I don't care what sex or sexual orientation my dentist has, tbh. They only look around in my mouth anyway. But now that I think about it, during my schooling I've always had female dentists as well.. Funny.

hopefully getting into the defence force, so free dentist (cant afford it even with good private health care atm).

My doctor though... unsure about his sexuality, gaydar is slightly ticking but not sure.

However he is;

1. Nice, approachable and well spoken.
2. Gentle and thorough.
3. Indian ethnicity, but London born and raised.

I am not usually attracted to Indian men, however it must be the annoyingly perfect British accent that makes me swoon. Average looker, but not unattractive kinda the young 30's boy next door thing going on :p

My doctor is a Jew and very proud of it. His parents were holocaust survivors so they made him work hard to get to where he is. I trust him completely with my health even though sometimes I think he goes overboard by sending me to so many specialists I know it's because he very thorough.

My doctor is male. I'm not interested in knowing whether he's gay or not. My dentist is also male and extremely hot. I would be very interested in knowing about him. ;)

Straight male, very gay porn daddy-like. Very domineering and impatient.

I think my dentist is homophobic. I asked for purple braces once and he's like "No, you might attract the wrong kind of attention!"

But damn he's good with my teeth.

Doctor's discuss their own sexual orientation with their patients?

My partner is a physician and since he has pictures of me and our children in his office, the topic has come up many times
with his patients.
Our family doctor and dentist are both straight. We know two dentists who are gay, one is an orthodontist the other is a maxillo facial surgeon. I don't know how many of their patients know, however. The few doctors that we know who are gay I don't think are as open as my hubby, but we don't know them that well.

I just recently switched to a gay doctor and had my first visit with him this week. His office is not traditional looking, it's in a newly remodeled building and was hard to find, there are no numbers or sings on the doors and when you look in to which door they tell you it is in a long hallway it doesn't look like a doctors office. There is a reception person in the lobby that doesn't know what he's doing. Took me 3 times to find the office and luckily someone walked me over to it. The exam rooms are accessed from the building hallway.

It's only him and a nurse and an office guy, and it was odd to walk in and see him at the front desk area, which there really isn't one, it's the main office area. He's very nice and down to earth and smart so I am happy with him. At first I was nervous because he was distracted with some pictures that were being put up in the area that has couches like a waiting area. There was also this skinny white trash looking lady patient talking about pain meds and asking for the old paintings, I was thinking I made a mistake at first going there. When we went to the exam room he said you must think this is a crazy place, and I said yeah. I already had seen him at a venue where he gave a speech and he is the least presumptuous doctor I have ever met.

Before I moved to Florida my doctor was a straight male. I liked him a lot, he was friendly and his staff was very nice too. He had a great nurse, but she was so good that a pharmaceutical company snatched her away. Before I recently switched my doctor was a straight female and she was nice too, her staff was okay, the receptionist was the sweetest one there. What pissed me off was making a checkup appointment 3 months ago at 1PM which is when they get back from lunch and finding that there were 3 people before me and I had to wait an hour, and this was the second time this happened.

Nope.
Straight I believe.
The PCP is someone new.
My Old PCP retired in April. (His son is a well known actor....hint.. the Office)

All three of my current Doctors are freaking about ten years past the retirement age and if they are gay it isnt a topic we spend a long time discussing. We talk about me. They are all well aware of my sexual orientation and are quite damn good at their job... I like working with someone who stays abreast of new developments and yet still has 35 years experience making health calls. It has saved me a lot of time on medical decisions.

Plus I personally believe 90% of our issues are caused by what we have as an environment so I make mine as toxin free as possible and do not like drugs unless necessary. All three of my Docs are aligned with my thoughts and desires. Oh and if you wondered why i have so many.... One is for allergies and breathing, one is for GI and the first guy is my Primary who i see least of all three... go figure...

My doctor is a straight (as far as I know), married woman. She's my age (~30). I don't have a dentist, but that'll change in November (yay for health benefits!).

straight and a fucking dud. I showed him a scaly patch on my clavicle for nearly 3 yrs and he kept telling me its eczema put some hydrocoistone creme on it and it will go away. Fuck that noise finally I went to a dermatologist and duh,.......its skin cancer. Hes a dud.

^ that sucks. I had a friend told by docs to take aspirin and go home he had the flu sans any sort of testing just a guess bullshit call... well his wife was a nurse and brought him to the hospital just before his appendices <-5 sp> burst... he could have died... take some aspirin indeed... That is why I like crusty old guys who are willing to ensure everything not to have a fuck up....
