Madame de Fouquet--the one with the terrace.
Truth be told, neither the palace nor the gardens of Versailles are on my list of favorite places, and we stayed at the Airelles because my partner loves the gardens and liked the idea that we had 24-hour access to them. I much prefer Caserta for Bourbon extravagance and, although I've never visited, I'm sure I'd prefer your own Aranjuez as well. For that matter I'd probably prefer the Bavarian copy, Herrenchiemsee. That said, the architectural detailing and decoration of the hotel is inspired, and I thoroughly enjoyed being there. I'd like to come back for a few days and attend a concert or two at the palace opera house.
For the George Dandin? I didn't recall it also had music scoring by Lully... it is such a flat piece among the supposedly greater ones.
